Piano competition

In about August 2008, I've participated in a piano competition arganised by the trinity college( if i haven't mistaken) . They had different category. Violins, cello, piano,flute and vocal and lots more.As for piano, they had divided in many categories by their grades. And I, had participated in the diploma level. The diploma level had divided in to lots of composers and century. I played a pieces by Beethoven ' pathetique' in the competition. Among the competitors, I was the smallest in them and I was really nervous. You know what? the judges was a canadian and he was the most handsome judges I ever seen till now. We played on a grande piano on a beautiful stage. That day, I can't say I played tremendously well but unexpectedly I got no 2 in that categary. The one who got champion was very good . If I haven't mistaken ,he was studying music in UCSI. He had a very good tecnique that I must really work on it. As for the third winner, his technique was not as good as the third one but he was also better than me alot. His expression was so good and I don't really know why I can get better than him. I can see that he was not really happy about it. Anyway I was quite lucky because there are lots of indonesians who are participating in the competition and wow, they were fantastic. Even an age 10 little can play the chopin piece so well that we were really impressed. Some of them even parcipate in many categorys and win a few prices for it. But the thing is, non of the indonesians participate in the beethoven category and because of this the chances of winning is high. This was the first competition in my life and the first competition that I had get a trophy for.He he , I was looking forward to the 2009 competition again!! This time Im not going to participate in one but two categories. so, cheer for me! Anyway, participate in a competition is not just for winning but learning . I had really learn a lot and now I knew that I really love competition.
